COOKING SPRING ROLLS & CURRY PUFFS

 

Spring Rolls

Best to deep fry from frozen at 180C until lightly golden brown. We use rice bran or cotton seed oil as they have high burning points. Rice bran oil is available at most supermarkets. Alternatively you can spray with a little cooking oil and put in an oven at 160-180 C for about 15 minutes until golden brown. You may need to turn them once or twice for even cooking. 

 

Curry Puffs
Can be baked or deep-fried from frozen like spring rolls above until golden brown. They bake better than spring rolls as the pastry is like puff pastry. They need to be turned with both baking and deep-frying to ensure they are evenly browned.
